Our Natural Materials

We believe that the beauty of nature can be enjoyed in everyday things.

We are passionate about showcasing the beauty of nature by using materials that come from the Earth.

HARDWOOD

We use solid native hardwoods for all of our projects, no composite materials or plywood. Our wood is sourced as locally as possible, sometimes from our own backyards! But for the wood we can't forage, we source from Ohio Amish Country, where folks know a thing or two about wood. Each piece is hand-selected with quality in mind. Best of all, it's sourced and processed ethically and sustainably from responsibly managed forests.

 ABALONE SHELL

Abalone are sea creatures with multiple claims to fame. Their meat is known as a culinary delicacy, while their shells are famous for that colorful, iridescent shine! And because people love to eat abalone just as much as they love to wear it, the shells are a byproduct of the abalone food industry.

Our abalone shells are sourced from the shores of New Zealand. The shell are processed into veneer sheets that can be easily worked with and cut to size. That's really all there is to it!
